In 2006, GCYF launched the new and improved GCYF website. The new site earned a "Standard of Excellence" award from the Web Marketing Association (WMA). The site was also recognized for "Outstanding Achievement." In 2006, more than 2,000 entries were judged by industry experts in media, advertising, Web design and online communications. WMA's annual competition evaluates websites against Internet standards and peer sites within respective market sectors. Each site is judged on seven criteria -- design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting, and ease of use. GCYF received scores that outperformed industry averages, as well as the average scores for other WMA award-winning sites.
